Description
These Acid-Free Whitecore Mat Blanks are the pieces that get cut out when cutting window mat openings. Hobbyists, artists and DYO framers frequently use these acid-free blanks as backing boards for the preservation of photos, cards and small-sized art inside photo frames and picture frames.
Blank matboards are also eminently suitable for art, craft and presentation purposes. These are easily cut using a metal straight edge and cutting knife for precise sizing.
Conveniently available in a variety of handy sizes, our versatile mat blanks can provide a clean and elegant look to enhance the presentation of small artwork and photos.
The Mat Blanks have a bright, white core and imported from the renown and reputable Peterboro paper mill in North America, manufactured using eco-sustainable methods.
A pack of these blanks may contain the assorted colours Cool White, Warm White or Cream. Please Note: All are bevel cut on all four sides and may measure + or - 10 mm of the listed sizes.

Window Mats Material Technical Specifications:
Our mats are made from Acid-Free, Peterboro Whitecore Matboard sheets compliant with the PPFA CLASS III standards and being of the 4 ply thickness: 0.052″ or 1.2 mm. The face paper is non-acidic, buffered and lignin-free, proffering a sharp, crisp clean bevel.
The core is also buffered against acids, rendering bright, white bevel cuts which do not discolour. The high-quality backing offers a clean, sharp, white core. All components are free of noxious lignin, harmful groundwood, unbleached pulp and are buffered to an alkaline pH (7.5 to 9.5) with at least 3% calcium carbonate reserve for prolonged stability.

At about a buck each these A3 matboard blanks make excellent paper crafts scrapbooking project cards. Our Campus co-ordinators use them for all sorts of things, art classes, make-up trays, painting palettes, exercise cards, projects, etc., you name it. We find these blanks versatile and popular.
