Description

Our tough, strong, lightweight, high-density, white-core, White Foamboard or Foamcore sheets are PH-Neutral and Acid Free with super smooth, laminated surfaces. Being Acid-Free, the foamboards won’t  “yellow”  with time or contaminate art with acidic lignin  or other contaminants.

Commonly known and also called foam-board or foam-core boards, their construction is made up of three layers.  The two outermost ones have a matte white, PH-neutral, clay-coated paper while the inside one, or inner layer, is polystyrene foam.

This product is very popular with picture framers, photographers, artists, event organizers, conference planners, signwriters, etc, because of its writability versatility, adaptability, lightness, practicality and low cost.

The foamboard sheet, or panel, can be used for picture framing, art shows, visual displays, conference communications, backing and mounting for prints, photographs posters, signs, vision boards and more.  With skill, it may also be carved, shaped and constructed to make and shape templates, patterns for interior design and architectural, nautical or aeronautical modelling.

The sheets can be left sized as they are as or trimmed and re-sized to smaller sizes using a craft knife, snap knife, utility knife, Stanley knife and most bench or wall mat cutters.

Foamboard is not suitable for wet-mounting, painting with oil, solvent or water-based paints, cements, glues, superglues nor will it bond well with cement or resins.  Please note that the external size or cutting tolerances is +/- 2mms.

This A4 ( 21x 29.7 cm) White Acid-free Foamboard Sheets 5mm thick is a premium material known for its ultra-dense polystyrene core and rigid, pH neutral surface paper, making it suitable for mounting and display applications. The core material incorporates an ultra-dense polystyrene core that is air-filled thereby providing a strong and rigid yet lightweight structure.

The surface paper is laminated on both sides with pH neutral with clay-coated paper which is acid-free and provides an extra smooth surface ideal for mounting. The board is strong and resists denting but can be cut easily and is bendable by scoring, offering flexibility in use.
