Description
The Photo Frame and Picture Frame Wood Standback is also known as an "Easelback" or a "Photo Stand". It is an Australian-made product from quality Craftwood, or MDF ( Medium Density Fibreboard) and considered environmentally friendly because manufactured from reconstituted wood waste which do not contain forest timbers or green wood chips.
Generally, it is fitted at the back of a same size photo frame or picture frame so as to also allow the frame to be stood on a flat surface, such as a table, desk or ledge.
This Photo Frame and Picture Frame Wood Standback (6"x8") can be easily and quickly fitted and can convert a suitable, small frame to a stand-up or easel-back frame.
The leg of the standback has a standard offset and overhangs and should not be used for tall or heavy frames or mirrors. The sturdy, MDF material will not bend or collapse like cheaper cardboard legs or struts.
Subject to being in stock, order online here and now for prompt dispatch and ( where applicable ) delivery throughout Australia, including Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Hobart, the Gold Coast and Brisbane!
Useful Questions And Answers:
| Q: How acid-free is this 6"x8" Photo Frame and Picture Frame Wood Standback? |
| A: It is not acid-free. To our knowledge, no MDF stanbacks sold online are acid-free, they cannot be because MDF has always been an acidic wood by-product. However if you want to inexpensively protect artwork, you could line the standback with our acid-free matboard blanks at 6″x8″ (15×20 cm) Acid-Free Window Mats for photo frames and picture frames. |

Got sent some relatives’ framed photos from the States and all were made to hang only. But I rent, and so I prefer my photo frames to stand on tables and ledges. Really needed some 6″x8″ stand-backs to make this work, which were actually difficult to find, then I landed here. Yup.
